About

A life shaped by curiosity, purpose, and progress.

My work brings together enterprise technology leadership, research, higher education, and a belief that knowledge should create practical value.

The person behind the work

Emmanuel Kojo Gyamfi, Ph.D.

Many people know me as Kojo Yesu . The name is rooted in my Ghanaian heritage and personal story. Born on Christmas Day, I came to be known as Yesu — the Twi name for Jesus — alongside Kojo, my Ghanaian name.

Professionally, I work at the intersection of information technology, cybersecurity, enterprise leadership, and applied research. My experience spans enterprise operations and digital transformation as well as teaching, research, and mentorship.

I completed my Ph.D. in Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati in 2026. My doctoral work investigated security, privacy, and farmer data rights in IoT-enabled smart farming systems.

Beyond work

There is always more to the story.

Outside professional and academic life, I enjoy jazz piano and bass guitar, hiking, road trips, reading about emerging technology, and participating in community and youth mentorship.

Those interests reflect the same curiosity, creativity, and collaborative spirit I bring to my work.

“Growth comes from remaining curious, being willing to serve, and doing the work that turns ideas into something useful.”Personal philosophy · Working statement
